Cookie Monster Feed me Game

Feed me games are very popular these days. I recently introduced a Monster Themed Feed Me game to my 2 year old. He absolutely loved it. It’s a win- win. Your child is playing and learning at the same time. The concept is to reinforce concepts your child knows. I would not use a feed me game to introduce a new concept or lesson. In a typical game, a child either draw a card with an instruction or the instructions are verbally given. Younger children 2-4 that are not yet reading will do better with verbal instruction. Beginning readers will benefit from games that include pictorial instruction.  There is nothing like having a child or house full of children who are bored. Bored children can aggravate themselves or siblings, get buried into electronics, or find some mischief to get into. All of these things happen with my toddlers if an activity is not planned. That is why I am always planning fun activities for them to channel their energy if we cannot get outside. There has been quite a few rainy days so I had to dig into my "activity bag" for some fresh ideas. These activities were intended for ages 2-7 but big kids will also enjoy them.  Reading  There is nothing like a good book. Book Hospital Idea{with Template Freebie}

  Young children are just very hard on books. Even sturdy board books are sometimes unable to stand the test of time. I love books and it breaks my heart to see a broken book. My toddlers are 1 and 2 (almost 3). While they love to read, they are just so rough with their books. I practice modeling proper handling but its still a long road to travel. I noticed that the single broken book started to became a pile of broken books. I decided to take the time and make a lesson on taking care of our books. Introducing- the Book Hospital. A book hospital is a relatable idea as children are familiar with trips to the doctor. In most cases, children are a little more careful since they are attributing sentiment to the books. I've done it with my Pre-k students and Kinders. The book hospital is always a hit. Older children can be taught how to repair the books for younger siblings or fellow classmates. I made a special place on the book shelf for the books that needed repairing. Its something
